You may say, I don't hang out in the sun, I just drive to work and back...and that is exactly what this man did. The reason he has sun damage on the left side of his face is because of the sun exposure while driving. Now, while this man was a truck driver and did a lot of driving, don't dismiss this thinking that you're not in the car as much as a truck driver. Stop and think about it. You drive bank and forth to work, run errands, drive the kids around, run here, run there...and before you know it, you have clocked a lot of time in the car! Think of all those miles you put on the car, they get there from you being behind the wheel!
My hair dresser has made a comment a time or two how the hair on the left side of my head was noticeably drier than the hair on the right side of my head. She didn't really think much about it, just that it was odd. It didn't take me long and I soon realized the reason...from driving around. The sun penetrates through our windows, we not safe in our cars or in a building. Have you ever noticed that your left arm is sometimes darker than your right in the summer, or that it has more freckles (ie. sun damage)?
We spend so much time, energy, and money on product trying to combat aging or trying to turn back the hands of time. When in fact the single most important, best anti aging product is sunscreen. It doesn't have to cost a lot, and it doesn't take a lot of effort. BUT you do have to use it. I apply sunscreen every morning to my face and I buy a bottle of sunscreen for the car and when I am at a red light or stopped in traffic I apply a little to my arms and hands.
Make sunscreen your best friend and it'll be one friend that WILL make you look better!
